Why is an eclipse considered inauspicious?

Two types of energies govern the entire cosmic system. The first is known as masculine energy and the second is known as feminine energy. The Sun is the lord of the Masculine energy known as the father and the Moon is the lord of the Feminine energy known as the mother.

A solar eclipse always occurs at the time of the New Moon (Amavasya) and a Lunar eclipse always occurs at the time of the Full Moon (Purnima).

At the time of Amavasya, the Moon disappears from the sky. Therefore, feminine energy is at its lowest level. When the eclipse occurs Masculine energy (The Sun) also disappears and vice versa. Hence, at the time of the eclipse, various negative forces get activated, and diseases, deaths, and accidents increase.

Now imagine a situation when the father and mother both are absent from the house. So, the children get scared. I have analyzed various horoscopes and noticed that in the horoscopes where Sun or Moon is weak, such people feel unknowingly afraid at the time of the eclipse. If they are very weak then a week before the unknown fear starts to take over.

So, it is time to remember the name of “Lord Vishnu – The Protector of the Universe”.

Our text says various things to avoid at the time of the eclipse. As the changing scenario the person can do as per their convenience, but I suggest only two which must be avoided; Food and Sex.
